摘要:
Permanent magnet machines have been widely employed for many applications due to high efficiency and high torque density. However, relatively high cost and potential supply issue of rare-earth magnets are major concerns globally. Rare-earth magnetless machines are being seriously considered and investigated. This presentation will firstly highlight the recent developments in novel permanent magnet machines and control systems, such as high-speed motors, fault-tolerant multi-3-phase machines, novel high torque density machines, and novel control techniques. It will then focus on novel electrically excited synchronous machines developed from switched reluctance machines, with focus on the evolution and development in both machines and inverters, together with electromagnetic performance and acoustic noise and vibration behaviour.
永磁電機具有高效率與高轉矩密度,在許多領域得到了廣泛的應用。但稀土永磁價格高,又有材料供應鍊的問題,引起了全球的廣泛關注,并對無稀土電機展開了深入的研究。本次演講将首先介紹新型永磁電機及其控制系統的最新研發成果,包括高速電機、容錯多三相電機、高轉矩密度電機、和新型控制技術,然後将聚焦于新型電勵磁同步電機,介紹這類電機與開關磁阻電機的關系及其演變過程,介紹其電磁性能和噪聲振動特性。
專家簡介:
Professor Z.Q. Zhu is a Fellow of Royal Academy of Engineering, IEEE, IET, and CSEE, and CES, as well as the Editor-in-Chief of IET EPA.
He is the recipient of the 2024 Global Energy Prize, the 2021 IEEE Nikola Tesla Technical Field Award, and the 2019 IEEE Industry Application Society Outstanding Achievement Award, as well as 39 Best Paper Awards.
Prof. Zhu is the Head of the Electrical Machines and Power Research Group at the University of Sheffield, UK, and the Founding Director of several industrial research centres, including Siemens, Midea, CRRC and NEVC.
His current major research interests include design and control of permanent magnet machines and drives for applications ranging from electrified transportation (including electric vehicles, more electric aircrafts, and fast trains) through domestic appliances to renewable energy (offshore wind power).
He authored/co-authored >200 patents, >1500 papers including >600 IEEE Trans./IET Proc. papers, and 6 monographs and 5 edited books, which are widely cited with Sci. citations of >34000 & h-index of 92 and Google citations of >56000 & h-Index of 117.

現任謝菲爾德大學頂級教授,謝菲爾德大學電機與驅動研究團隊負責人,謝菲爾德西門子風電研發中心創建主任、美的上海和謝菲爾德電機和驅動控制研發中心創建主任,謝菲爾德中國中車電氣傳動技術研究中心創建主任,謝菲爾德中國新能源汽車國創中心電驅動技術研究中心創建主任。
長期從事新型永磁電機及其系統和先進控制關鍵技術的基礎和應用研究,緻力于在電氣化交通(電動汽車、高鐵、多電飛機)、海上風力發電、家用電器和自動化系統等領域的應用。在永磁電機建模,新型永磁電機,無位置傳感器技術、矢量控制、轉矩直接控制、參數辨識和狀态檢測,和電機噪聲與振動等方面做出了許多原創性和突破性的貢獻。
擁有200多項授權和登記的發明專利,發表6本專著、5本編輯著作、1500多篇學術論文,其中600多篇發表于IEEE/IET期刊,被國際同行和教科書廣泛引用 。
